Folks

If anyone offers you a Gillespie hitting vest, run away fast.

It will wreck any good swing and restrain the development of a poor one.

Good hitters use their forearms in a manner that causes the front elbow to jut upwards.

Bad hitters trap the front arm across the chest, causing the barrel to lag and the top hand to dominate. All those hitters can do is drop the barrel and push it upward. Slow.

The hitting vest also enforces a bad downward swing angle that no good hitter uses. It forces hitters to keep their shoulders level to the ground when hitting, and adjust to pitch height with knee bend; no good hitter does that.

Whatever success the inventor of this device has had is in spite of the vest, not because of it.
