tom....please bear with me on some of these more subtle details...eventually i will understand.....we spoke about the high elbow "assisting" the circular hand path....it seems to me that the SPECIFIC way the high elbow is assisting the circular hand path is this: using ramirez as an example, when the back elbow elevates to horizontal for aprox. 1/60th of a second, that specifically causes the bat to momentairily "wrap" that much more behind hitter's head....now, the only way to reverse direction & the bat to come around the head is for the hands to be forced to go out a little more than they otherwise might .....in other words, the high elbow ends up forcing a circular hand path.....i would appreciate your comments.....respectfully, grc......
