Hi, mb
I am a Japanese and studying batting mechanics of MLhitters.

I also divide Top-Hand-CHP-batters into two groups.?@Maybe my typeA is your 'throwlike action' and typeB is 'ax handle technique'.

I'd like to name some batters and ask you whether my classification is the same as yours and whether my observation is correct.

A
Bonds, Sosa, Griffey Jr., Ortiz, S. Green, S. Finley, Bagwell, Helton, J. Edmonds(about 10%)

B
Piazza, Pujols, Ramirez, Beltre, Guerrero, Garciaparra(more than 50%)

Thank you
