wrong handed hitters

Posted by: Coach Hub (hubdds@sbcglobal.net) on Thu May 29 11:51:12 2008

I have a son that is right handed, but swings left handed. With regard to the back-side dominance needed for powerful hitting, what suggestions do you have to help him. His swing is beautiful (good balance, good negative move, good weight transfer and bat speed) and he can hit to all fields, but he has started lacking some power compared to other kids. Any drills or training techniques would be appreciated, or if in your experience a "wrong handed hitter" always struggles with this, I would like to know about it. Thanks.
