> hello one & all!
> i watched JUNIOR GRIFFEY lasst friday night.. he seemed to be the same as the last time i saw him, severall years ago..doing pretty much the same thing he has always done!!..same stance, same swing.. only now he's not getting there anymore!!! WHY? WHAT IS DIFFERENT NOW?
> ANSWER: he is pretty much the same player.. only age has uncovered the one incontrovertible truth:
> AS YOU AGE, YOUR ATHLETIC ABILITY DIMINISHES TO THE POINT IT CAN NO LONGER COMPENSATE ENOUGH FOR THE HOLES IN YOUR STANCE & SWING..IT CAN
> NO LONGER RESCUE YOU.. NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT IN BOTH THE STANCE & SWING TO ELIMINATE THOSE ACTIONS WHICH SLOW YOUR BAT
> TO THE POINT YOU ARE BARELY COMPETITIVE.

> watched ken griffey last night.. this poor guy is in the "OVERMATCHED " category, being both hopeless & helpless..
> the pitcher had a blueprint on how to go at JUNIOR.. nothing but fastballs up in the zone.. a pitcher would have to be a fool to throw anything offspeed or down in the zone to him.. he exhibited his batspeed has slowed to the point that he can not POSSIBLY GET AROUND ON ANYTHING ABOVE THE CROTCH.. fouling off numerous pitches, as well as hacking at slop pitches with 2 strikes that were shoelace high. fouling off ball 3 & ball 4.. not good.
> THIS GUY HAS NO BUSINESS BEING IN THE STARTING LINEUP ON A DAILY BASIS!!!..he has become a one dimensional hitter.. low ball stuff only. add to that his obvious lack of speed in the outfield makes him a liability rather than a positive add-on to this squad..
> REASON: HE IS SHOOTING HIMSELF IN THE FOOT BY HOLDING HIS HANDS WAY TOO LOW.. SABOTAGING HIMSELF ON PITCHES UP IN THE ZONE!! ALSO.. HE IS WAGGING THE BAT AT THE PITCHER'S RELEASE POINT, WHICH GUARANTEES BECAUSE THE BAT IS IN MOTION HE WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT INITIATION POINT TO EVERY SWING.. GUARANTEEING INCONSISTENCY IN HIS TIMING, RESULTING IN A DIMINISHED SUCCESS RATE..
> why can not someone help rescue this poor soul from himself?

Jeseus George you are talking about a hall of famer with over 600 homeruns and close to a carrer 300 average against the best pitching in the world. What he does as ahitter is why he is so good george. His stride lands at 50 percent his hands stay back his bat is directed back toward the catcher he hads a wide arc on outside pitches and a smaller ark on inside pitches and he has done that better more consistently than as good as any hall of famer or better. You are in denial about the mechanics. The stance does not matter it's almost better to be in a weak position and than end up strong. Because it doesn't matter where you start it's where you end up. And you never answer anybody's question. When Jack Mankin shows all the videos of great hitter who have barred arms why do you continue to talk trash. What hitters have you produced? Your hitters are probally all handsy and look like robots like every high school in america with cookie cutter coaches. You act like you invented physics and you act like you know the kinectic link and the pendiulum effect. You watch but you don't see. The hands never move and the front shoulder flies the hell open. How else can you hit you can't. The same reasons kernerko and thome struggle is because of hitting coaches like you. Whatch frame by frame videos of doubles and bombs. It's amazing of how much of a bad coach you are. You honestly think you could help all these guys I 100 percent know you would ruin them more and I feel sorry for the kids you teach and hope the parents of these kids figure it out and stop sending them to you because as far as they will get is high school ball.
