Pull Theory nixed

Posted by: Sam R. () on Sun Jun 11 20:10:00 2006

I know, I know, why shake the hornets nest again. I know BHL stated that his PFO theory is not for everyone, but just to be clear IMO and those of some documented MLB players, it should not be taken seriously by anyone (ahem...batspeed.com). Check out the June 12th SI provides which has yet another professional MLB player (not slow pitch softball) who almost had to quit MLB because he was TOO much of a pull hitter.

Article is on Blue Jays Vernon Wells who saw his career coming to an end after 2 dismal seasons unless he "started making some changes."

Article states Wells was a righthanded PULL HITTER who was being outsmarted by pitchers he had previously drilled, the 27 year old had to figure out "HOW TO HIT TO ALL FIELDS."

He spent the off season figuring it out and he is off to his best start ever as a MLB player.

OK, so now we have Albert Pujols and Vernon Wells who work extra hard to NOT pull the ball but will THEY be outsmarted by the Batspeed.com scholar who will come back on here and promote his three letter ridiculous theory?

Review: SI had Albert Pujols article addressing NO pull hitting in his drills and now Wells basically saying PULL hitting was ending his career.

Posters do you really need more or will the slow pitch softball guru still drag you into his web of nonsense?
