Bond's grip

This is a tough question that I think could spark some debate. If you look at Bond's grip
when he is in the launch position, it looks like he has both hands in the "puncher's knuckles"
position. I have been taught that you knuckle's should line up-"door knocking knuckle with
puncher's knuckle" to have the proper grip. Can anyone prove me wrong on this?
