Re: Plane of Swing

What is the proper swing plane? Level, Slightly up? How does one teach the proper swing plane while learning rotational mechanics?

Hey MB
As Ted Williams would say up up is the way, but there is no one set swing, you can only match the plane of the ball. You would find that swinging up on every pitch, or down or level on every pitch is a very hard thing to do. Your swing should match the player. If your a home run hitter, then u should try and get the ball in the air, but if your a fast slappy hitter then your best bet would to try and hit it on the ground.
