Many a debate in different sports but question is: Which way will a righ- or left-handed batter face?

...I see the error in my question. I want to be able to tell a kid that he's a left handed batter for instance. Does that then mean ...as he faces the plate looking at the pitcher, will his right or left shoulder be forward? Obviousely easy to determine if the kids throws right or left but the dilemma is batting. As an aside, I didn't refer to a "batter" in different sports but merely being left or right handed in other sports - i.e. hockey.
