I went to the article at beabetter.com.In part the author said "a short swing must be a straight line from launch position (hit position) to contact point."

I have lots of good clips of rotational hitters but I can't seem to find clips of linear hitters so I look forward to your examples.

Welllllll, I'll try to spell it out for you slooowly. You see, if you have two theories of hitting, A and B, and if one person (clan) says A is better and everyone else says B is better, who is right? If MAJOR LEAGUE instructors, hitters, coaches say one thing and you say another, who do you suppose has more credibility? Would you take legal advice from a law student or an attorney? Would you have surgery done by a licensed physician or by an intern? Charley Lau had George Brett, Harold Baines and others as students. Charley Lau Jr has A-Rod and Mcgwire. Rob Ellis had Mike schmidt, Walt Hendrick had Rich Gedmon and Wade Boggs. But outside of your very small circle of believers, who do you have? No one. It's no big deal, I suppose, everyone is entitled to what ever they think, but to the kids out there I think you are doing a great disservice. Just my opinion.
