my sons teammate had a problem by the time he made contact with the ball, the shoulders was so open they had finished rotating. the bat lagged far behind he only had the power of his arms, to hit the ball at contact .His problem was his front foot was bailing out causing his front shoulder to open as the front foot stepped in the bucket.the shoulders were opened before the swing began. to make matters worse he had his hands wrapped up around his head at front foot plant and his shoulders opened. what he did to correct this was stride with the heels in line at the pitcher the front toe can be opened a liitle as long as his heels were in line at the finsh of the stride. and thou he kept his hands hidden they were more by his rear shoulder so they could rotate with the back hip and back shoulder.
