> My son plays on a 14U travel team and is a solid fastball hitter. Against major teams he hits for a high average. When he comes up against a slow AAA pitcher he struggles due to being in front of the ball all of the time. Any suggestions on how I can help him better time the slow pitchers? He struggles when the speed is in the 55 to 65 mph range, but rips anything 70 or better. Thanks.

Maybe he has too much weight on his front foot after his stride..
Very often when this happens, batters get out in front to quick.
