Reaching full extension

Posted by: Worm () on Tue Mar 27 20:33:17 2007

I have recently started the CHP and THT and notice good torque. I am just wondering with that front arm "locked" into that position how do you reach full extension on contact? This is about the only part of the swing that I am not understanding. I take it that the lead arm "drags" behind and follows the hips while you get lots of wrist action from the THT and CHP and that you get some more batspeed from the explosion of the hips? Maybe I have just always thought that extension meant extending the arm out to meet the ball out front and that I really should be thinking about it in another way?
